Brillante Mendoza and Judy Ann Santos Collaborate for the First Time for ‘Mindanao’
For the first time, internationally-acclaimed director Brillante Mendoza and celebrated actress Judy Ann Santos worked together for the film “Mindanao" which had its world premiere at the 24th Busan International Film Festival (BIFF) in Busan, South Korea last October 5, 2019 under Icons, a newly established section in BIFF which introduces the latest films made by iconic filmmakers from around the world.
FDCP Announces Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino 3 Mechanics
Following its announcement in January, the Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) has officially released the mechanics of the Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino (PPP) 2019. Now on its third year, the PPP will be held September 13 to 19, 2019, a week-long film exclusive screening of Filipino films in all cinemas nationwide. This is in line with the celebration of the One Hundred Years of Philippine Cinema which starts officially in September this year.

FDCP Updates Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino Calendar with More Screenings and Events, PPP4 Extended until Dec. 13
MANILA, PHILIPPINES, OCTOBER 28, 2020 (UPDATED) — In response to the clamor to lengthen the duration of the 4th Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino (PPP), plus due to the inclusion of new titles to the lineup now totaling 170 films, and to accommodate the final fine-tuning of some works in the PPP Premium Selection section, the Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) has extended the festival’s run from 16 days to 44 days. PPP4 will be held from October 31 to December 13.
