FDCP's Call for Documentary Projects for International Film Lab Extended
Following its open call for long feature fiction films, the Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) has extended its deadline for submission of Filipino documentary projects for the First Cut Lab Docs to March 31, 2019.

Instituto Cervantes’ PELÍCULA Spanish Film Festival moves to Iloilo

‘Mañanita’ Star Bela Padilla Shines at Tokyo Film Fest
Bela Padilla, together with director Paul Soriano, graced the red carpet at the prestigious 32nd Tokyo International Film Festival to represent “Mañanita” last October 28, 2019.
Produced under Ten17P and VIVA Films and penned by award-winning filmmaker Lav Diaz, “Mañanita” is among the eight Filipino films featured in the Festival. The drama-suspense film was given a Graded A by the Cinema Evaluation Board (CEB).
ABS-CBN’s “Quezon’s Game” to Premiere in Cinemas
Inspired by true events, “Quezon’s Game” pays tribute to former Philippine president Manuel Quezon’s heroism of rescuing around 1,200 Jews seeking refuge from the Holocaust. The film is a joint venture production of Star Cinema, ABS-CBN’s streaming service iWant, and Kinetek Productions, and it stars Raymond Bagatsing, Rachel Alejandro, and Kate Alejandrino.
