‘Include film workers in COVID-19 aid programs,’ solons urged

The Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) on Friday, May 29, appealed to legislators to include the audio-visual (AV) content industry as among the beneficiaries of the COVID-19 economic stimulus package that they are preparing.

MANILA, Philippines — While the country’s entertainment industry is among the most “hard-hit” by the COVID-19 pandemic, audio-visual and cultural workers appear to be in the “blindspot” of the government’s cash assistance programs.
