PPP Awards Night

The Pista Ng Pelikulang Pilipino (PPP) is a celebration of Philippine Cinema where new quality genre films are screened for one week in all regular cinemas nationwide. No foreign film is screened during PPP, except in specialty cinemas, in order for the whole country to celebrate its own local films.

The PPP4 Closing and Awards Night was held to honor the finest performances and work in the many categories of the film medium, from among the competing films.

Cine Filipina

“Cine Filipina” is FDCP’s initiative to celebrate National Women’s Month in the form of film screenings, panel discussions, and other activities throughout March on the FDCP Channel online streaming platform. For 2021, with the theme “Juana sa Gitna ng Pagbabago”, 10 women-centric films bannered the lineup, together with 3 free film screenings, 10 short features from Cinemarya, 2 panel discussions, an opening event, and a closing event.

Pelikulaya

Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer (LGBTQ) Pride Month is currently celebrated each year in the month of June to honor the 1969 Stonewall Uprising in Manhattan. The Stonewall Uprising was a tipping point for the Gay Liberation Movement.

FDCP Channel aims to be one with the LGBTQIA+ community in celebrating the Philippine Pride month through PelikuLAYA : LGBTQIA+ Film Festival is a virtual film festival that aims to uphold the essence of celebrating Pride Month in the form of LGBTQIA+-centric virtual film screenings, panel discussions, and events.

Film Ambassadors' Night

The Film Ambassadors’ Night is the Film Development Council of the Philippines’ major annual event that honors Filipino filmmakers, film workers, and film projects that have earned international accolades and awards in festivals and markets in world cinema in the previous year. During FAN, we also take the occasion to grant the Camera Obscura Awards, the highest honor granted by the FDCP to a filmmaker, film worker, a pillar of the film industry, or a film project.

CINEMARYA WOMEN SHORT FILM FESTIVAL

CineMarya is a Women’s Film Festival that will challenge Filipino filmmakers in creating relevant women-centered short-films that intend to inspire and empower women and men alike to make gender sensitization the way of life of every Filipino.
