Film Cultural Exchange Program

The Film Cultural Exchange Program provides support and assistance to foreign embassies and diplomatic institutions in the Philippines for film-related and cultural events, and bilateral programs.

The FCEP supports film-related events of foreign embassies and diplomatic institutions in the country by providing FDCP ratings and Optical Media Board (OMB) clearances. The FDCP’s Cinematheque Centres may also serve as exhibition platforms for FCEP events.

It advocates regional filming in Asia by streamlining information on filming locations, incentives, requirements, and regulations in the region and supporting member organizations in their international co-productions. As of January 2021, the AFCNet has 54 members from 19 countries.

Best Practices Exchange

The Best Practice Exchange (BPX) is a forum for debate among the leaders of agencies from across the world that provide public funding to stimulate, sustain and promote new filmmaking for the cinema. More than ever before, these agencies are the bedrock of ‘independent’ work for the big screen, that is, films made outside the main production centres of Hollywood and Bollywood, films that express all the other cultures, values and languages that mainstream movies do not encompass.
