THE FDCP TEAMS UP WITH FEST FILM LAB TO TRAIN FILIPINO FILMMAKERS
MANILA, PHILIPPINES – The Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) brings the prestigious Fest Film Lab to the country for the first time, offering Filipino filmmakers a rare opportunity to learn from global industry experts. From July 12 - 17, 2025, the inaugural Fest Film Lab workshop in the Philippines will be held at Seda Manila Bay, featuring a series of specialized workshops designed to sharpen the skills of local filmmakers.
The Fest Film Lab is an internationally recognized training program known for its hands-on mentorship and expert-led sessions covering key disciplines such as film editing, auditioning, production design, sound design, and film financing. Renowned industry professionals from around the world will lead this year's sessions, ensuring that participating filmmakers gain knowledge aligned with global industry standards.
The 2025 Fest Film Lab will feature five (5) specialized workshops, led by acclaimed experts in their fields:
- Film Editing Workshop with Alex Rodriguez
- Auditioning for Film and TV with Nancy Bishop
- Production Design with Andrew McAlpine and Gemma Jackson
- Telling the Story with Sound: A Workshop with Mark Ulano and Patrushkha Mierzwa
- Film Financing in an Entrepreneurial Age Workshop with Paul Miller
