MANILA, PHILIPPINES, FEBRUARY 11, 2022 (UPDATED AS OF FEBRUARY 15, 2022) — The Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) will once again be honoring the stalwarts of Philippine cinema whose performances and cinematic work have brought recognition to our country through their awards and citations from the foremost international film festivals of the world, at the 6th Film Ambassador’s Night on February 27, 2022 at the reopened historical Manila Metropolitan Theater.

MANILA, PHILIPPINES, FEBRUARY 11, 2022 — With a common goal of creating globally appealing content for both global and domestic markets, Philippines, Hong Kong, and United States-based companies have signed an agreement at this year’s Berlin International Film Festival’s European Film Market (EFM) to co-produce a new slate of Asian genre content.

MANILA, PHILIPPINES, FEBRUARY 11, 2022 (UPDATED AS OF FEBRUARY 15, 2022) – Eleven (11) Filipino filmmakers were selected to participate at the recently concluded Kyoto Filmmakers Lab (KFL) last January 28 to 30, 2022, held in-person in Kyoto, Japan for participants within the country, and virtually for participants outside Japan.

The call is open to international production companies in business with a Philippine film producer/company on an ongoing project.

MANILA, PHILIPPINES, FEBRUARY 2, 2022 — Five producers with projects in development who are aiming for international co-production and partnerships have been selected by the Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) to participate in the online Visitors Programme of the 19th Berlinale Co-Production Market (BCM) at the 72nd Berlin International Film Festival in Germany on February 12 to 16, 2022.

MANILA, PHILIPPINES, FEBRUARY 2, 2022 —The short film It’s Raining Frogs Outside directed by Maria Estela Paiso and produced by Gale Osorio will be representing the Philippines at the 72nd Berlin International Film Festival on February 10-20, 2022 in Berlin, Germany.
