PROJECT DEVELOPMENT OFFICER

UNIT / PROGRAM: Festivals Division  STATUS: Contract of Service (COS)


PLACE OF ASSIGNMENT: FDCP Central Office - Manila

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage the Festival Division's Spotlight: Philippines Program, including coordinating with festival organizers in the execution of partnerships and programming of films and activities;
  • Assist in the planning and execution of the FDCP's participation in international film festivals and markets;
  • Coordinate and negotiate with festival and market organizers and suppliers on the participation, booth activation, and other requirements needed by the Agency;
  • Monitor the schedule, bookings, production, and other preparations to ensure that all deliverables are within timelines,
  • Coordinate with the External Communications Division in the conceptualization and publication of booth design, campaign themes, and collaterals, and release of promotional materials related to the mission;
  • Coordinate with participating films, projects, and filmmakers on their participation;
  • Plan, manage, and track budget and expenses;
  • Assist in establishing a process for lead generation and nurturing;
  • Prepare close out reports with findings and analysis for each activity;
  • Maintain files and records of all mission-related matters and documents;
  • Periodically evaluate and create recommendations on the missions based on existing guidelines and practices;
  • Keep abreast of international best practices;
  • Report to the Division Head and Management for regular updates, concerns, and high-level approvals;
  • Assist the Division in ad hoc responsibilities; and
  • Perform other related tasks that may be assigned from time to time.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, International Relations, Diplomacy, Event Management, or a related field preferred 
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and diplomacy skills
  • Fluent in both English and Filipino
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Programs, Canva, and Adobe
